My name is Stéphane Drouot, I was born on June 21st, 1981 in Cholet (France). There, around 14, began my interest for music. At first, I wanted to play the Sax, however, I chose to turn to singing. Being the only and first counter-tenor in my town, I had the occasion to meet and play with a great young guitarist. Thanks to him, I integrated my first band and began creating.
I also liked to create programs for my calculator, which gave me the half-nerd reputation (Highschool sucks, even in France). That's when the Lacrymosa Industry was born, in order to sign the already multimedia programs I was creating with the few ressources I had at the time.
During my higher education studies in Computing, I learnt about the inner fuctions of computers and lots and lots of things that would have made me the kick-ass nerd I'll never be thanks to my freetime activities : music and 3D computer graphics ! That was the time when I tried (unsuccessfully) to create my first full lenght 3D movie.
That was a childhood dream coming true, being able to translate my thoughts and dreams into animated pictures I would share with others. 3DCG and a lot of will made it possible for me to share that. So logically, in order to share it the most, I had to integrate the french 'Copyleft' community.
I like baroque music (Pergolesi, Bach, Purcell, Haendel) and many other composers or musicians (Bobby McFerrin, Björk, Yoko Kanno, Nobuo Uematsu, Tool (Music videos are Awesome), A Perfect Circle, Thomas Newman, Danny Elfman). I love some free music composers (Realaze, Ehma, Silence, Lonah, Delgarma, Phoebus...).
I can't stand commercial craps that you buy only because they're on radio and that you like only because you're too lasy to listen to something else. I can't bare Britney, Madonna, Christina and the others (eventhough I like Justin a bit, but shoosh).
I like movie directors who can make something else than pre-digested shit, so I'm fundamentaly in love with Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the shell & Innocence), Wim Wanders (Million Dollar Hotel), Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), Tim Burton (Edward Scisorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the chocolate factory, Mars Attacks...), Charlie Kauffman (Being John Malkovitch, Adaptation), Tomek Baginsky (Fallen Art & The Cathedral) Alejandro Amenábar (The Others, Abre los Ojos...) et Alex Proyas (The Crow, Dark City & I, Robot). Strangely, I'm not indifrent to Peter Jackson (Lord of the Ring, Heavenly creatures & The Frighteners) because, despites apparences, he is pretty independant, as well as the Wachowsky brothers, because Bound is a treasure and the first Matrix couldn't be philosophically deeper.
Therefore, big guys making small films make me sick... George Lucas, Michael Bay, Luc Besson & co.

I'm litterally inlove with Natalie Portman (The professionnal, Anywhere but here, Closer...), Edward Norton (American History X, Fight Club, Keeping the Faith), Johnny Depp (Edward, Finding Neverland, Sleepy Hollow), Claire Danes (Romeo + Juliet, The Hours, Igby Goes Down).
TvShows I like are House MD, CSI, SouthPark, Daria, West Wing. Japanimé are my favorites, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Full Metal Alchemist, Ghost In the Shell - Stand alone Complex, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Escaflowne.
